St Mary's Cathedral is Sydney's grand Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral, its honey-coloured sandstone spires rising beside Hyde Park in the city centre. The soaring interior, stained glass and the mosaic floor of the crypt are free to visit, and the reflecting pools out front are a favourite photo spot. It's a working cathedral, so parts may be closed during services; dress and behave respectfully inside.
