Directions

Hyde Park is Australia's oldest public park, a leafy rectangle in the heart of the Sydney CBD with a grand avenue of fig trees connecting the ornate Archibald Fountain and the Art Deco ANZAC Memorial. It's a favourite spot for city workers to picnic and relax, and an easy green link between the shopping district and St Mary's Cathedral. It's more a pleasant urban breather than a destination in itself, but it's central and free.
