Tucked inside the Poly Plaza office tower, this small but exceptional private museum houses one of China's finest collections of ancient bronzes and Buddhist sculpture, including four of the original bronze zodiac heads looted from the Old Summer Palace. It's a serious, scholarly collection presented with excellent lighting and minimal crowds. The contrast between the corporate tower lobby and the ancient treasures inside is jarring but the collection quality is undeniable. Easy to combine with a visit to the nearby Sanlitun area.
