A stunning 10-acre formal garden tucked behind a Federal-style mansion in upper Georgetown, designed over decades by Beatrix Farrand and considered one of the finest garden designs in North America. Spring cherry blossoms and wisteria are extraordinary, but the garden is beautiful in every season. The attached museum houses a world-class Byzantine and Pre-Columbian art collection and is separately free. Admission to the garden is charged seasonally; check hours carefully as they vary.
