Known forwetlandsmangrovesbirdwatchingASEAN Heritage
Singapore's premier birdwatching destination and a ASEAN Heritage Park, protecting extensive mangroves and mudflats along the Strait of Johor. Migratory shorebirds arrive between September and March, and resident monitor lizards, mudskippers, and estuarine crocodiles can be spotted year-round. The boardwalk trails are well-maintained and interpretive signage is excellent. Caveat: it is located in the far northwest and requires deliberate effort to reach by public transport; go early morning for the best wildlife sightings.
