A deeply moving museum commemorating the civilian and military prisoners held at Changi during the Japanese Occupation of World War II. The rebuilt chapel, personal artefacts, letters, and oral histories make this one of Singapore's most emotionally resonant cultural sites. It is out of the way in the east of the island but absolutely worth the journey — budget at least two hours and go with a respectful mindset.
