Changdeokgung is a UNESCO-listed Joseon palace prized for how gracefully its buildings blend into the surrounding hills, unlike the more formal Gyeongbokgung. Its highlight is the Huwon, or Secret Garden, a serene wooded landscape of pavilions and lotus ponds.
