A tiny, legendary spot in Flamengo that has been serving authentic Amazonian tacacá — a hot, sour broth made with tucupi, jambu leaves, and dried shrimp — since the 1970s. This is one of the few places in Rio where you can eat genuinely regional Amazonian street food prepared by someone who grew up making it. The jambu causes a pleasant numbing sensation on the lips that is part of the experience. Go in the late afternoon when it is freshest.
