Housed in a charming 19th-century mansion in bohemian Santa Teresa, MIAN holds one of the world's largest collections of naïve art, with over 8,000 works from more than 130 countries. The standout piece is a massive panoramic painting of Rio de Janeiro. The neighborhood setting makes it easy to combine with lunch at a local restaurant and a stroll through Santa Teresa's winding streets. The building can feel a little worn but the collection compensates fully.
