An underappreciated gem directly opposite the Old Jewish Cemetery, housing a superb collection of Czech and European applied arts spanning glass, ceramics, furniture, textiles, clocks, and graphic design from the Renaissance to the 20th century. The Czech glass and Bohemian porcelain holdings are among the best anywhere, and the Art Nouveau and Cubist design sections are outstanding. The neo-Renaissance building is gorgeous and the museum is rarely crowded. Temporary exhibitions are consistently strong and often overlooked by visitors focused on the nearby Jewish Quarter.
