Named for the deer that once roamed here, Parque de los Venados is a large, lively neighborhood park with a skate park, basketball courts, a small market on weekends, and plenty of open lawn space. It's one of the most genuinely local parks in the city — you'll find everything from quinceañera photo shoots to pickup soccer games happening simultaneously. The weekend tianguis (informal market) along its edges is worth browsing for street food and cheap finds. It's not polished or scenic, but it's authentically chilango.
