The Museum of Modern Art sits in a beautiful circular 1960s building in Chapultepec and holds Mexico's finest collection of 20th-century Mexican modernism, including Frida Kahlo's 'The Two Fridas,' works by Rufino Tamayo, María Izquierdo, and David Alfaro Siqueiros. The sculpture garden outside is lovely and often underused. It's less crowded than the Anthropology Museum despite being steps away, making it one of the city's best-value cultural experiences. The permanent collection is the draw; temporary shows vary in quality.
