It's tucked in Dubai's northeast corner so it's a haul from the newer areas, and Mondays and Wednesdays are women-and-children only.

There's no beach or grand landscaping, but for a free, easy-to-reach green space it punches well above its weight; it gets packed after sunset when the heat drops.

A serene, thoughtfully designed 60-hectare park in quiet Al Khawaneej themed around plants and stories from the Quran, with the striking glass-and-steel Glass House greenhouse at its heart. Wander the desert-garden trails, tour the Glass House and Cave of Miracles (AED 5 each), or picnic on the manicured lawns. General entry is free and it's spotless, but it sits far east with no metro, so a car is essentially required.

Dubai Miracle Garden is a vast seasonal flower park with tens of millions of blooms arranged into arches, hearts, and full-scale floral sculptures, including a flower-covered aircraft. It is a colorful, photo-friendly outing best in the cooler morning hours. It closes during the hot summer months (roughly May to October) and is far out in Dubailand, so check dates and plan the drive.
