A sprawling indoor conservatory on Chicago's west side with multiple themed houses showcasing plants from around the world—desert cacti, tropical ferns, aroids, and flowering specimens. Spend 2-3 hours wandering through the lush, warm galleries; kids and plant lovers especially appreciate it. Note that the children's garden is currently closed for construction, and while admission is only $10 for non-residents ($5 for kids over 5), it's free if you have WIC or SNAP.
