Built on the former death strip of the Berlin Wall, Mauerpark is famous for its Sunday flea market, open-air karaoke at the amphitheater, and a genuine mix of locals and visitors. The remaining stretch of Wall with graffiti art gives it real historical weight. It's best experienced on a Sunday when the market and karaoke are in full swing. Weekday visits are quieter but lose much of the electric atmosphere.
