Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book tickets in advance?
Yes — Casa Milà operates timed-entry slots and queues can be very long, especially in summer. Booking online is cheaper (saves up to €4 vs. box office) and lets you skip the ticket queue. Flexible 'Open Date' tickets valid for 6 months are also available on lapedrera.com.
Is the La Pedrera Night Experience worth it?
The Night Experience (€39.50) is a guided after-hours tour ending with an audiovisual light show on the rooftop chimneys, with cava included. It offers an intimate, crowd-free atmosphere and is especially popular for couples and photography enthusiasts. A dinner add-on can also be booked.
How do I get to Casa Milà by public transport?
The closest metro stop is Diagonal (L3 Green Line and L5 Blue Line), just a 2–5 minute walk away. Numerous bus lines (V15, V17, H10, H8, 7, 22, 24, 6, 33, 34) stop directly in front of the building. The FGC Provença station is also about 6 minutes on foot.
What is included in the standard ticket?
Every Essential ticket covers the Warrior Rooftop with 360° panoramic views, the Whale Attic housing the Espai Gaudí exhibition (270 catenary brick arches), the period Tenants' Apartment, and both interior courtyards — all across 4,500 m² on five floors. An audioguide in 11 languages is included.
Is La Pedrera accessible for visitors with reduced mobility?
All main areas of Casa Milà have been adapted for accessible entry with lifts and adapted toilets. The rooftop terrace does not have full continuous wheelchair access due to varying floor levels, but a platform at the elevator exit provides limited barrier-free access and views. Visitors with a disability of 65%+ enter free.
What are the opening hours of La Pedrera?
In summer (roughly early March to early November) the building is open daily 09:00–20:30, with Night Experience sessions from 20:40–22:20. In winter it closes earlier at around 18:30, with night sessions from 21:00–23:00. Always confirm the exact seasonal schedule at lapedrera.com before visiting.
How much does it cost to visit La Pedrera?
The Essential daytime ticket starts from €25 online or €29 at the box office for adults; children under 12 enter free. The Night Experience (with cava and rooftop audiovisual show) costs €39.50 per adult. Reduced rates of €19 apply to seniors 65+, students, and visitors with a disability of at least 33%. Can I visit La Pedrera with young children?
Absolutely — children under 12 enter free (they still need a free ticket booked for the same time slot as accompanying adults). The building is open to all ages, though the Virtual Reality experience using Microsoft HoloLens 2 headsets is restricted to children aged 10 and over.
