San Jose Fire Museum

A volunteer-run gem tucked inside a working fire station, displaying a remarkable collection of antique fire engines, equipment, and memorabilia spanning over a century of San Jose firefighting history. The oldest piece dates to the 1870s and the restored apparatus are in exceptional condition. It's a passion project by firefighters who genuinely love sharing the history. Caveat: hours are very limited — typically open only on weekend mornings — and the space is small.
