Alemany Farmers' Market

San Francisco's oldest and most authentic farmers' market, running every Saturday since 1943 at the base of Bernal Hill. Vendors are predominantly small family farms selling seasonal produce at prices far lower than other city markets. Go early for the best selection of citrus, dry-farmed tomatoes, and specialty Asian vegetables. It's cash-heavy and no-frills — don't expect artisan coffee or prepared food stalls.
