Europe's largest science museum sits inside a spectacular Adrien Fainsilber building at the Parc de la Villette and offers genuinely engaging permanent and temporary exhibitions on science, technology, and the natural world. It's excellent for families with children but intellectually stimulating enough for adults, with hands-on exhibits, a planetarium, and a submarine you can board. The surrounding Parc de la Villette is a destination in itself. It's far from the tourist center, so it draws a mostly local, Parisian crowd.
