French Market

One of the oldest public markets in the country, stretching along Decatur Street with a mix of produce, crafts, spices, and prepared foods. The flea market section is great for local art, jewelry, and souvenirs, while the covered farmers market end has fresh produce and Louisiana specialty goods. It can feel touristy in spots, so head toward the Esplanade end for more authentic local vendors. Best visited on weekend mornings when it's fully stocked.
