Fall Creek Falls State Park is a sprawling natural area near Spencer with hiking trails of all difficulty levels, scenic waterfall overlooks, and cabin rentals with lake views. The main draw is the waterfall itself—the walk down to it is manageable but the climb back out is steep, so wear proper hiking boots and bring water. Note that some trails involve significant elevation gain (the popular Mammoth March is 20 miles with 1,500 feet of elevation change), so come prepared.
