Founded by Prince Albert I in 1910, this cliff-top institution is one of the world's great marine science museums, housing a spectacular aquarium with sharks, rays, and coral ecosystems alongside historic oceanographic instruments and Jacques Cousteau's legacy exhibits. Allow at least two to three hours to do it justice. Crowds peak in summer mornings, so arriving at opening or late afternoon is wise.
