A historic Black beach on Biscayne Bay that feels worlds away from downtown Miami, with a scenic shoreline, shaded nature trails through dense mangroves, and native water birds throughout. Walk the Basin spur trail (~1.5 miles of easy single-track) for skyline and water views, or settle into one of the secluded picnic areas. Worth knowing: the beach itself is rocky and the water has heavy seagrass, so it's not ideal for swimming. Entry is $8 per car.
