Point Dume is a secluded, strikingly beautiful beach tucked beneath a dramatic volcanic headland in Malibu, accessible via a short trail down the bluff. The cove is sheltered, the water is clear, and whale watching from the point is exceptional in winter and spring. It feels genuinely remote despite being in LA County. The parking lot has a fee and fills quickly; the trail down to the beach is moderately steep.
