Victoria Park is East London's beloved 'People's Park', a vast Victorian green space with boating lakes, a Chinese pagoda, and excellent weekend markets. Head to the west side for the model boating lake and the café by the water, or catch one of the major music festivals held here in summer. It can get extremely crowded during festival season and weekend afternoons, so weekday mornings are far more peaceful.
