A large, genuinely local park in the north of the city that most tourists never visit, with wide grassy slopes, a lake, sports courts, and a dog park. It's where Lisbon families come for weekend barbecues and where the city hosts the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival. The park has a relaxed, unpretentious energy and excellent facilities including a café and children's play areas. Getting there requires a metro ride to Olaias but it's very straightforward.
