Directions

Red Rock Canyon is a striking expanse of red-and-cream sandstone cliffs and desert about 20 minutes west of the Strip, protected as a National Conservation Area. A 13-mile one-way scenic drive loops past trailheads for hikes, rock-climbing spots and viewpoints. Timed-entry reservations are required for the scenic loop in peak season, and there's little shade, so bring water and avoid midday heat in summer.
