Sek Yuen is one of KL's oldest Chinese restaurants, operating since 1948 in a wonderfully preserved shophouse with original wood-fired woks still in use. The Cantonese roast duck, steamed fish, and claypot dishes are exceptional and cooked with a smoky wok hei that modern restaurants struggle to replicate. It is a genuine living heritage site. Book ahead for weekends and note it closes on Mondays.
