A dramatic mountain pass lookout offering sweeping views of the Ko'olau cliffs and the windward coast of O'ahu, with winds so powerful they can literally knock you sideways. This is where King Kamehameha I drove rival warriors off the cliffs in 1795, making it one of the most historically significant sites on the island. The drive up through Nu'uanu Valley is itself beautiful. Arrive early as tour buses fill the small parking lot by mid-morning.
