Opened in its current state-of-the-art facility in 2019, this is one of the most powerful and well-designed Holocaust and human rights museums in the United States. The permanent exhibition is emotionally rigorous and pedagogically excellent, connecting the Holocaust to contemporary human rights issues in a way that feels urgent rather than merely historical. Allow at least two to three hours and be prepared for an emotionally demanding visit. Timed tickets are recommended.
