Housed in a converted tobacco factory, MAMBA holds one of Latin America's most important collections of modern and contemporary art, with rotating exhibitions that genuinely surprise. The permanent collection spans Argentine avant-garde movements from the 1950s onward, and the temporary shows often feature internationally recognized artists. Admission is very affordable and free on Mondays. The building itself is worth the visit, though the layout can feel labyrinthine on busy weekend afternoons.
