#8 of 9 Markets & Food Halls in Amsterdam

$$
Known forflower marketiconichistoriccanal

The world's only floating flower market, moored on the Singel canal between Koningsplein and Muntplein, open daily. Stalls sell tulip bulbs, cut flowers, seeds, and Dutch souvenirs from barges that have been here since 1862. It's undeniably touristy and prices reflect that, but the setting is genuinely beautiful and buying tulip bulbs to take home is a legitimate and practical souvenir. Serious flower buyers should go early; by midday it's crowded and the best stock is gone.
